With the VERA50 line array we extend our portfolio into the field of large-scale sound reinforcement – the top class – positioned above our successful VERA36. The result is a system in which components and acoustic design do not simply work together, but merge into a new sound architecture – one that is dedicated uncompromisingly to the sophisticated audience. Every design decision followed a single principle: not just to reach what is possible today, but to deliberately move beyond it.
The compact 4-way top unit combines state-of-the-art loudspeaker technology: two powerful 12" LF drivers, four 6.5" MF drivers with short horn loading for a direct, impactful midrange, and two twin-coaxial HF units. Each HF unit combines two voice coils (3.5" and 1.75") in a coaxial arrangement – a design that delivers exceptional transient response, transparency, immediacy, and long throw. This results in remarkable homogeneity across the entire frequency spectrum: from the finest vocal details to the unleashed energy of a rock band or full orchestra – “in-your-face,” even at distances beyond 70 meters. Due to its high sonic fidelity, the system behaves in a very predictable and mix-friendly way, enabling the sound engineer and system administrator to achieve excellent results with minimal effort.
Thanks to careful impedance design of the drivers, up to five VERA50 tops can be operated cost-effectively on one Dynacord TGX10 or one Powersoft X4 . Despite its sophisticated 4-way configuration, a VERA50 top weighs only 62.9 kg with a system width of 119 cm (46.85 in). A compact 4-point rigging system allows flexible deployment. As is standard with TWAUDiO, the top is available with either 80° or 120° horizontal dispersion, each with 8° vertical coverage. With the RF1400 rigging frame and the BMP1400 bumper, up to 21 elements can be flown safely – depending on the array curvature.
The system is complemented by the VERA S54 subwoofer: three 18" drivers in a cardioid configuration, two facing forward and one facing backward, housed in a cabinet less than 120 cm wide. The S54 provides uncompromising low frequency control from 35 Hz. The result is a defined, clear bass response even in challenging acoustic environments.
