VERA50 @ BAHÍASOUND, Spain One System. Evey Show. All Summer!

Throughout the summer, the main stage of Bahía Sound in San Fernando, Cádiz hosts a different show almost every night. This year, Soinua and Blaster Sound deployed a VERA50 system across the whole run: a "precise, versatile deployment that elevated the sound experience to the next level."

The line-up left little room for a system to specialise, let alone rest: a live performance by Chambao, the full-scale Michael Jackson tribute production "This Is Lenny Jay's Michael," and the closing night of Raule's tour all shared the same stage and the same rig, night after night, over the course of the summer.

A Summer-Long Festival

Set on the Mirador a la Bahía at the Centro Comercial Bahía Sur, the festival's 70 × 50-metre venue is built for exactly this kind of variety: an open, adaptable space that has to work as well for a comedy show as for a full-band concert. As Blaster Sound put it when submitting the project: "Quality is at the heart of the festival's identity and so is sound."

The Challenge

The diverse program and wide variety of performances called for a system that could flexibly meet a wide range of requirements while consistently ensuring high sound quality throughout the summer, holding up night after night without a drop in performance.

The Solution

Blaster Sound built the main PA around the VERA50, arranging a VERA S54 subwoofer array with setting the right delays for even low-end coverage across the audience area, with dedicated fills. The sidefill task on stage was done by the wellknown PA-SYS-ONE.

"The precision and energy of the VERA50 make every event a great experience, delivering outstanding performance across everything from DJ sets to live vocals, comedy shows, and more." Blaster Sound

Conclusion

Across a genuinely varied summer programme, the VERA50 system proved its durability and elevated the music experience at Bahía Sound, delivering clean and intelligible sound in a space where every listener could enjoy an unforgettable show.
