As part of a full-scale renovation of its Worship Center, Upstate Church Haywood modernized its audio system to enhance worship experience. The challenge was to transform a traditional Baptist church sanctuary into a contemporary worship environment – requiring a high-performance professional sound system with exceptional intelligibility. Elevate AVL, the church’s long-time Audio/Video/Lighting (AVL) production partner, elected to collaborate with TWAUDiO Americas and after reviewing several product simulations the VERA20i system was chosen due to its ability to meet the client’s performance needs, even coverage, and budget requirements.

A New Era for Upstate Church Haywood

The project became necessary when Upstate Church adopted an older church building in Greenville, South Carolina. Along with architectural updates and electrical modernizations, the Worship Center received a full AVL system upgrade. For audio the goal was established: deliver a powerful, balanced sound for contemporary worship music while maintaining high intelligibility throughout the listening space. This was no simple task given the tall parallel walls of solid construction.

For the first few months, the church relied on a portable audio system. But with the completion of the installation, the new TWAUDiO system has taken over—delivering an impressive sonic experience.
