The Byblos Palace Hotel, nestled discreetly in the heart of St. Tropez between the fortress and the Place des Lices, offers pure luxury. This five-star hotel features an in-house spa with a pool, an extravagant bar, a gourmet restaurant, and its own nightclub, the legendary Caves du Roy, located directly beneath the swimming pool.
With high-end luxury and dazzling splendor in Oriental decor, featuring a decoratively lit palm tree as its centerpiece, the club caters to an elite audience, including celebrities such as Cher, Jack Nicholson, Naomi Campbell, David and Victoria Beckham, Grace Jones, Bruce Willis, and Sylvester Stallone, to name a few.
To ensure excellent sound quality, the owners entrusted the company Colorsonic with the new sound and lighting setup.
Gérard Giraudon from Colorsonic, together with Florida-based architect Francois Frossard, developed a new concept for the 2019 season. The new PA setup is distributed throughout the entire club so that music can be heard in all areas and levels. Naturally, this is amplified on the dance floor, which is lined with eight B18 subwoofers. Additionally, a combination of T20i and T24N (60-degree version) speakers surround the round dance floor.
Due to the low ceilings, the T20i with its compact footprint was the perfect choice for this setting. Meanwhile, the T24N has become a go-to product that needs no further explanation.
"Gérard has managed to perfectly implement the audio concept. With the various levels, it is not easy to create great sound everywhere. The system is completed by two M10 speakers in the DJ booth. Three Powersoft M50Qs, four M28Qs, and one X4 with built-in DSP drive the system.
