Gentse Feesten in Belgium a colourful event

Since 1843 the Gentse Feesten takes place every year in July in the historical centre of Gent. With its numerous national and international artists it is a colourful event offering a diverse and manifold musical program, street theaters and parades, what’s more, there are no admissions for the events. Over ten days more than two million people bustle through the medieval streets of Gent.

Since 2000, Euro P.A. is providing the technical service for the biggest stage outside the Sint-Baafskathedraal. About 8.000 fans gather on the square to listen to the famous artists.

Biezebaaze, a rock band from Gent, singing their songs in Belgian dialect, the former Eurovision Songcontest participant Barbara Dex, enchanting the fans as much as Jo Lemaire and partner Johan Verminnen. Not to forget Dutch singer Stef Bos giving an impressive performance. An alternative program was presented by the Koninglijke Harmonie Nazareth with their classical repertoire.

Like in the year before, Euro P.A. deployed an extensive TW AUDiO sound system. 12 x VERA36 per side, 16 x S33 stacked in front of the stage combined with 2 x BSX. As front fill 6 x VERA10 and 4 x T24N as delay line. The entire system was powered by 24 x Powersoft K3DSP.
14 x C15 were used as stage monitors, plus 2 x T24N and 4 x S30 as side fill and 2 x S18 as drum sub.

Thanks to the professional service of Euro P.A. this has been another successful event.
